Hello,
I'm currently testing a setup with SLES 9 SP3 and SAN LUN's. To manage these LUN's we're using DM MPIO and EVMS.
One of my tests is migrating SAN LUN's from server A to server B, preferably without downtime on any server. We first made the disks visible on server B. After fixing DM MPIO, evms_activate detected all EVMS objects and imported my disks perfectly on server B.
On server A the LUN's were still visible. I've been looking for a way to export LUN's from EVMS, but unsuccessfull so far. Once they are not used by EVMS anymore I should be able to clean up multipathing (multipath -f <device>) and finally remove them from the system (echo "scsi remove-single-device 2 0 0 4" > /proc/scsi/scsi)
Is there a way to export LUN's from EVMS without a reboot?
Thanks,
Johan
