Zen is one of the reasons, why I am reluctant to adapt the whole thing. They
broke well working YOU (instead of
just unifying update source and installation source) aand replaced them wy
(clueless written) tool which do not follow yast2 rules and is not
compatible with anything else (and broke you service at all).
I think, alternative is to download and apply patches manually. or don't
apply them at all (except crytical ones) and apply service packs only
(service packs are still well compatible with yast installation system).
