Hello Anna,

Have you already tried

fuser -kum <mountpoint>

to kill all processes which are eventually active on the directories?

Regards,

        Jens

The command you issued is very disruptive. First find out which file systems are host on the qla3200. You can look in the /etc/fstab and unless your server boot from the SAN the device will be something other than /dev/sda. I ma going out on a limb here since I have no idea of the server hardware you have and if you have LVs than this approach will not help.
You might be better off first checking YaST..Hardware..Hardware Info under qla3200 to see which devices are controlled by it.

After

You must first make sure that no files are open on the file systems that are on the qla3200 controller. if the file systems below are all on the qla3200 you could use lsof | grep dept proj.... etc. you might also use ps -ef | grep dept ....etc. finally make sure you do not have a terminal open and on one of the file systems execute pwd to find out.
