So I followed the guide, I was able to edit the iso and then recreate it as
a bootable image. I'm testing the patterns in vmware. A few questions I
have is, are the extra media.n directories needed when I'm just going to be
adding a pattern? I keep getting Software No catalog found at
'cd:///?devices=/dev/hdc'. Any ideas?

If I want to add a x86 pattern the only files I need to edit are:
Add rpm package to: suse/i586 and suse/i686
Run create_package_descr -C in the suse directory.
Add pattern to suse/setup/descr/
Add filename too directory.yast, patterns, and MD5SUM the pattern
Then add the sha1sum to content in the root directory of the disc

Then create the image again and boot it.

Is that correct because I'm still getting errors. If not how can I fix
this?

Also am I posting this to the correct forum if not how can I get a quicker
answer?

Thanks for the help :)
