Hi all,
I am trying to setup an ftp server on SLES 10. I installed pure-ftpd from
the install disc and configured it. My problem comes when the server needs to
be restarted. The pure-ftpd service does not restart with the rest of the
system. I have added links to /etc/init.d/rc3.d:
emh1:/var/log # ls -l /etc/init.d/rc3.d | grep ftp
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Apr 6 08:11 K14pure-ftpd -> ../pure-ftpd
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Apr 6 08:09 S08pure-ftpd -> ../pure-ftpd
emh1:/var/log #
Unless I am mistaken the links in /etc/init.d/rc*.d should start the ftp
server when the server starts.
Once the server is up I can run '/etc/init.d/pure-ftpd start' and the ftp
server starts up without a problem.
What have I missed?
