During RC, only critical bugfixes are allowed (those which would become
L3 issues later anyway). The only difference for the subscribers would
be to get SP1 a couple of weeks earlier, for the price that we would set
wrong expectations.
I agree with you that it would be good if we could have an open beta
phase for our SLE products. But that would have to be the whole beta
phase, having it only during RC is of very limited use to all sides,
IMHO.
