It will not work.

Their approach is _want a new features? Use a new version_.

It makes me weird becasue we are 100% satisfied with SLES9 and 100%
unsatisfied with SLES10 (so we use SLES9 only)
but their policy makes us to think about version switching.

To compare, Sun don't pressure users to jump between versions - Solaris9 is
still primary and well supported OS (even if they have Solaris 10) and
compatibility between versions is excellent (much better).
