Thank you for the information.
Actually the driver loaded where not the sles one (even if an rpm -qf
said that they came from kernel-bigsmp rpms) but the one installed by
the HP support tools
I then find the document "HP StorageWorks QLogic fibre channel host
bus adapters for ProLiant and Integrity servers using Linux and VMware
operating systems release notes" where they clearly states that QLogic
driver need to be downloaded from their web site.
I therefore followed the following steps:
1) - upgrade the kernel packages
2) - update the FC QLogic HBA drivers by
a) - download the appropriate driver kit
b) - go to the folder where the driver kit from hp has been unpacked:
lams@mantaray:~/hp_qla2x00-2007-10-05>
c) - launch the INSTALL script. No parameters need to be given as it
has already been configured once.
For information /opt/hp/src/hp_qla2x00src/unload.sh can be launched at
this point: it will reload the modules without rebooting (reboot is
required only if booting from SAN).
d) - Recreate a ramdisk so that these modules are loaded at boot time
by running make_initrd (no arguments needed: the default ones are
fine)
Kind regards,
Gaël
