Hi All,
I have configured snort in SLES9, and it logs all information in MySQL database. My problem is,
whenever the system boots, the snort won't starts, and it throws a error message "unable to connect
MySQL database". The reason is, in the booting sequence, the snort starts before MySQL is UP. The
snort is starting at S07snort and MySQL is starting at S12mysql. So, i have moved S07snort to
S18snort, after rebooting the box, snort will work fine and it will log all information in MySQL
database, but, this works for next one or two days only. After, the system automatically moves
S18snort to S07snort, and i will comeback to the same problem. I am not understanding about which
one is responsible for moving S18snort to S07snort. Can anyone help me on this? . Thank you.
