IT will work for LVM without doubts.
Generally it wil work for everything which is static.
Problem is that if, later, you decidet to change lvm layout (add volume, for
exampole) you are in trouble because you must follow a special procedure:
- stop all nodes except one;
- change LVM on this single node;
- reboot all other nodes and ferify that they can see a changed lvm layout.
So, it can be used only if you create LVM once and touch it once/5 years (or
never).
You can't use any of RAID-s, too - they are dynamic (not static) so they
can't work inc luster/
PS. EVMS is cluster aware, and SLES10 have tested configuration with OCFSv2,
integrated with evms and heartbeat2. But I can't confirm that it is robust
configuration (it is tested by SuSe, but no one knows how many customers
really use it).
