True.

After installing the move-to-sp1 patch (offered as optional by YOU), you
can adjust your sources to local YUP repositories

   .../SLES10-SP1-Online/sles-10-<arch>
   .../SLES10-SP1-Updates/sles-10-<arch>

or keep the (much slower) nu.novell.com sources which the move-to-sp1
patch has brought.

And then simply do YaST2 -> Software -> System Update.

I have seen one handicap this way: the yast2-online-update rpm from the
new update areas refuses a signature check within YaST.
This happened with all of these packages:

./SLES10-SP1-Updates/sles-10-i586/rpm/noarch/yast2-online-update-2.13.60-0.3.noarch.rpm
./SLES10-SP1-Updates/sles-10-x86_64/rpm/noarch/yast2-online-update-2.13.60-0.3.noarch.rpm
./SLED10-SP1-Updates/sled-10-i586/rpm/noarch/yast2-online-update-2.13.60-0.3.noarch.rpm

and I bet it would happen too with

./SLED10-SP1-Updates/sled-10-x86_64/rpm/noarch/yast2-online-update-2.13.60-0.3.noarch.rpm

Workaround:
Fetch the appropriate package by hand and install it with "rpm -Uhv"
before starting "System Update".
