It's not as if we were too happy with having to delay the shipping. But
we chose to rather meet the quality requirements than to meet the
deadline requirements, if we have to chose. We're not talking about
developing a simple application, but about an entire operating system -
the complexity of this neccessarily puts road maps into "tentative
estimations" rather than into rock solid dates you want to set your
watch by.

We're still better at meeting our deadlines than our biggest competitor
in the desktop market, but that's no excuse, of course...

When the beta program started in january, I asked on this list for
people willing to participate.
