It does not work in SLES10 only, and only because they replaced working sux
to the propblematric su + pam_xauth and did not documented all details.

Hmm...

You mean that you can run

 ssh -X user@host command

and it will work? May be (I'll try), but it is a strange way to do
'sux -' -:) - ssh -X oracle@localhost ". .profile; cd $DIR; ./runInstaller"
and require oracle to have a working password. Compare with

  sux - oracle -c "cd DIR && ./runInstaller"

Unfortunately, when they startyed SLES10, thy almost freeze any changes in
SLES9 ( I can understand it, so I do not
object too much). As a result, you have not a good choice:
- SLES9 os outdated
- SLES10 have a huge # of small problems and required a whole bunchh of
workarounds.

Btw, it was not a case when switching from SLES8 to SLES9.

And here I blame them not for the 'change' but for 'change, did not test
well, did not documented new tools'. Examples are here - sux, iscsi +
hotplug, netfs... May be, NFS (found many strange things in SLES10 NFS, but
I can't claim that it was not oor own problem).

And I blame for the not providing good feedback channells. I tried SLES10
beta4 (have access as a developer), find a bug in yast2->nfs, how can I
report it if I am not signed to the beta programm (I did not signed because
of unrealistic requirements for the beta testers)? No way. So I can only
pray that other beta testers notice this bug and fix it.

As I said before, SLES10 is, in many areas, a great system. But minor bugs
and minor problems, when we see too many of them, became major. And dropping
yast2 quality make me to feel _it is going to be abandoned_. Just as KDE is
already _abandoned_ (what? It is supported? Install SLES10, open kde, try
'devices' - folder is not in place already... Someting is already broken.
Guess KDE uality after 2 or 3 service packs!?
