There is a perl script (pam_tally_autoreset.pl) to allow you to do this
via cron at http://www.sable.demon.co.uk/pam/pam_tally/

will support pam_tally? Or better yet, is there a PAM
approach/aternative to locking out account for a window of time, and
automatically unlocking these accounts? I'm sure some will want locked
accounts to stay locked until manually being unlocked.
SLES 9 does support pam_tally, just not those options.
Just the automated unlocking is not possible.
So far I do not think it has received a feature request, so I doubt it
will be added for SLES 9.
