I've rebuilt the cpq_cciss rpm, but since we don't use snmp (required by cpqarrayd), I'm having trouble getting this rpm rebuilt without failing net-snmp checks (installing net-snmp doesn't resolve the issue).

Hi greg,
if you only want to monitor disks, try the hpasmcli command. we wrote
our own nagios plugin that queries all found controllers and parses
hpasmcli's output. as soon as you want to monitor fans, dimms and power
supplies, wou will need hpasmd.

drop me a line if you want to have the plugin.
