Hi Ray, hi all,
I read the part about EVMS in the mentioned document.
But: The described solution does not work.
I tried the whole installation in another way:
First install the system with LVM2 devices, patched the system to
the current version (all updates).
Changed all settings according to
'http://www.novell.com/documentation/sles10/index.html'
"Configuring an Existing System Device to Use EVMS" and after
reboot I do have a similar error. In this scenario the system on
initrd is complaining to miss the library libgcc_s.so and also
not finding the evms managed devices.
So I'm also stuck here. I do have the feeling nobody is using
EVMS for controlling the system devices. Is EVMS really tested?
Any hints appreciated.
Best regards
Andreas Mock

HI Ray,
thank you for that hint. The document seems to be promising.
How and where do I search best for that kind of informations?
Best regards

Try the recipe from the last scenario of TID 3864925, "Troubleshooting
Common Boot Issues",
