php 4 and php 5 are different: I'm not sure moving to php 5 will
"solve" your problem, actually it may "create" other problems but if
you think going with php5 is your solution and your server host only
this php application, why don't you move to SLES10? This you would get
also php security updates.
Actually, I moved pretty much all my servers to SLES10 and, for the
php applications requiring php 4, I configured php from source (not
really difficult) using the latest php 4.4.x source code.
