Subject: [suse-sles-e] SLES9 grub: root=LABEL=localroot

Is this syntax supposed to be meaningful for grub in SLES9?

kernel (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz root=LABEL=localroot

where "localroot" is the filesystem label of the root volume.

Its entry in /etc/fstab is this, and it's functioning correctly.
LABEL=localroot / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
