Well, when you go here:
http://www.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/rack_optimized?c=us&l=en&s=biz&cs=555
You find 4.5TB as the maximun storage for PowerEdge 2950 III

But when you hit customize, this are the options:

146GB 15K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
300GB 10K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
36GB 10K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 2.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
73GB 10K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 2.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
80GB 7.2K RPM Serial ATA 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
160GB 7.2K RPM Serial ATA 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
250GB 7.2K RPM Serial ATA 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
500GB 7.2K RPM Universal SATA 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
300GB 15K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
750GB 7.2K RPM Universal SATA 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
146GB 10,000 RPM Serial Attached SCSI 3GBps Hard Drive, 2.5-inch, Hot Plug
36GB 15K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 2.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
73GB 15K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 2.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
400GB 10K RPM Serial-Attach SCSI 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive
1TB 7.2K RPM Universal SATA 3Gbps 3.5-in HotPlug Hard Drive

So, yes, that configuration is available... I really don't know what
this server would be used for, so can't tell if was a good or bad
desition. Hope he gets the server up and running and reports back.

Ciro
