Want to clear something up.

Though Novell made it easier to install SLES10 from media in a PV
environment. Novell does not own the kernel nor control it! Any competent
Linux level 3 admin could have compile the xen(OS) extension into the
SLES10 kernel to enable it.

Now they did a great job with SLES 10 to make it a virtual environment
with tools that are quit serviceable and with modify the kernel they do
control, Netware to run virtual on it. Which is not small feat I am sure.
As well as some additional feature sets for the Xen OS Project.

The OS isn't modified by a third-party. It's modified by the OS
vendor. Windows 2008 will run in a PV environment because M$ is
modifying it. SLES10 works in a PV environment because Novell has
modified it.

I know Novell offers the virtual machine driver pack which is supposed
to somehow offer PV drivers for unmodified OSes, such as Windows XP.
I'm not sure how you install that, though, as the initial install I
would think would need to be via FV.

Either way, there isn't much that the Xensource folks can do about
modifying the OS itself.
