You're right, bad choice of words on my part. So what Novell's done is
already modified the open source Linux kernel to run in a PV Xen
environment, added a number of tools for managing Xen (as you've mentioned),
and offered support. Sure anyone can recompile the kernel, but if you are
running an enterprise distro such as SLES or RHEL you typically don't want
to do that so that you can remain in a supported environment from the
distro's vendor.
