This should be a simple question to answer I hope. I am designing a web
based database for college using MySQL, any work I do for this in
college I bring home on a floppy ao I can continue at home. The problem
is that all the PC's at college run windows, and for some reason my
Sparc5 (running a freshly installed copy of SuSE 7 of course) cannot
mount the floppy. I keep getting the following error messages :-
"/dev/fd0 has wrong major or minor number" with command "mount /floppy"
I also get the above error when I try to mount it using vfat
"fs type dos not supported by kernel" with command "mount -t dos /dev/fd0
/floppy" I also get the above error when I try to mount it using fat
Does the default kernel not support windows formated floppy's at all.
