When you come to the SILO boot prompt, type in "yast1". That's all
that you need to do.

Understandable... it's also a big download for people without fast
network connections.
The CDs for download don't have the English version, either. I confess
that it's still being worked on and should be available soon. The
manual you have must be for another architecture (I'm assuming x86)...
so some of the SuSE-specific stuff will be there, but SPARC-specific
instructions will not.
