Subject: Problem with a Creator 3D card

I installed SuSe Linux 7.0 on an Ultra 2 today and found a problem. The
installation was in text mode and you tabbed between the fields. No big
deal it went smoothly. And the installer said it was configuring the
graphics card, but upon rebooting I was presented with a blank screen.

I telneted to the machine and changed the run level to 2 and was able to
login in text mode. When I attempted to run SaX from the command line I
    got the following:

    Sax: searching card...done
Sax: SUN SUN24 server not installed
    Sax: switching to VGA16 server
Sax: VGA16 server not installed abort

Back to text mode. The machine is an Ultra 2 with a Creator 3D and it
appears, an unused lower end frame buffer. I've only ever connected a
monitor to the 3D. Is this frame buffer not supported? Is there away
    around this?
