I received the following reply from ATTO Tech support:

Customers are welcome to use the LSI Linux drivers for our SCSI cards. We
have done some initial testing and they work find. The performance isn't the
greatest but it does work. Customers will need to disable our bios driver in
order to use the LSI Linux drivers. We will have these posted on our website
next month.

Great! I can wait. But I'm not sure how this flashing/disabling is done. I can
chek around though...
