Hi all,
Just curious,
Since the source-code of staroffice is available, has anyone dared to make a
build for Sparc/Linux?
Considering the build times given on the site of open-office, (18hours on
Intel-III/500MHz) with 3GB diskspace
it seems hard to achive on my small sun4m machine. I would not mind the
machine crunching for a week or so,
But the required diskspace prevents me. (The bytes are allready getting
claustrophobic)
Has someone tried any attemps yet?
I know running S.O. requires a lot of a system, but it does run on solaris
and had the idea that linux is doing a better job on sun hardware.....
(Or has anybody tried it on solaris and come to the conclusion that one
needs at least an ultra-60 ;-))
Kind regards, Hans Witvliet.
