Hi all,
Not sure wether its a hardware limitation or a font problem:
On a SS5 (CG6 video) i try from commandline : X -indirect name-of-xdm-server
The xdm-server is our corporate solaris machine.
X starts op and I got the chooser window, but... text color and
background-color are the same.
If i choose any line, and press the connect button, i get to *A* machine and
receives a graphical login-window.
I asume this is because on this machine there is only 8-bit video available,
but how can i force it to choose other colors?
I have tried changing ~/.Xresources and /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources:
Chooser*label.background: black
Chooser*label.foreground: white
But with no result: grey text on grey background...
The story behind it all: trying to turn an sun4m into an X-terminal
described in http://www.menet.umn.edu/~kaszeta/unix/xterminal/index.html
Kind regards
