Subject: Probs with NIC: BigMac 100BaseT

Hallo,

I have the following Problem on a SS20 with the SBUS BigMac 100 NIC:

* connection is up, the interface is working properly but /var/log/messages
tells me every 5 seconds:

kernel: eth1: link down, cable problem?

how can I prevent the syslogd from writing these messages? or how can i Fix
this?

btw.: Driverversion for the BigMac is: v1.1 8.Dec.98 (David S. Miller)
