    I haven't done any benchmarking, the reason for installing linux
    was related to my absolute incompetence in Solaris system
    administration :)

    Anyhow, compared to a PIII/450MHz/Suse7.0 and using openldap from
    the Suse 7.0 distribution, I can see around 25% more performance when
    performing very complex LDAP searches (it's just a first impression,
    the U10 is running for two days only right now).
