Au contraire! You can grab the microcode loader from
        http://vger.samba.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/?cvsroot=vger
    Look under afb.

Then to get the actual microcode
        1. search www.sun.com for afb.ucode
        2. download the appropriate patch file (*.sh). Make sure that the
patch description states it contains afb.ucode.
        3. place the binary portion of the patch file into it's own file.
        4. uncompress/untar the binary file and extract afb.ucode.
        5. move afb.ucode to /usr/lib/afb.ucode
        6. run afbinit and specify which framebuffer (/dev/fb?) has an
           elite3d
        7. start Xsun24

    I'm running mandrake 7.1beta2 + XFree86 4.0.1 with acceleration
on an ultrasparc 60 + elite3d. It's fine but it feels as though it's
held together with baling wire and chewing gum. Unfortunately I haven't
had time to test suse's distribution yet.

        /var/log/XFree86.0.log
