    Hi,

    Well that depends on your type of graphics card and monitor type,
    older sun monitors are fixed frequency you can set their freq from the
    boot prom although you should probably leave at its default.

    If you select the xserver-xsun24 server it will work regardless of whether
    your graphics card is 24 bit 8 bit or mono.

    The drivers for Xfree86-4.0.1 are still in the beta stage so I'd wait
    until they become more stable.

    Unless of course what you are trying to do is connect the monitor to an
    intel box, then I can't help you as I've never tried it.

    Also I'm not sure what setup suse runs as I haven't tried it yet.
