Dropping the use of all sparc machines is not valid solution. Sun
machines
are extremely well built and robust, with respect to hardware. You might
consider
using Solaris (latest release), if nothing else. Provided your Sun
machines can handle
Solaris 8, for example. I run Solaris 8 on a Sparc-5 (70Mhz, 80-megs of
RAM), it runs
surprisingly well (Not to say SuSE Sparc Linux wouldn't, however it
would not install....
but that is another story in itself).

I'm sure SuSE is committed to the "Sparc" cause, however I'm an
optimist :)
This is only my opinion, however this used to confuse the less
fortunate in most
cases.
