Hi,
i just tried to install SuSE 7.0 on my SS20. The installation on "Whole
disk" failed while writing the partition table and resulted in "Error while
installation" without further notice.
The reason for this was a timeout while writing the partition table on my
4,3gb DCAS. The disk was formerly used by a PC-system, so there was no Sun
Disklabel on it. After writing the disklabel manually, the installation
completed fine.
It would be useful, if the installation routine which calls the
fdisk-command does the writing of the sun-disklabel automatically.
