Installed fine on a SparcStation 2 using Yast1 - just prefer it
over the new GUI install. Response isn't great, but overall feels lighter
and a touch peppier than Solaris 7 did :-)
But speaking of GUI, Sax seems to be using an autoconfiguration
setup that I was unable to break out of. Seems it wants me to use 1024x768
(or thereabouts), with 256 colors. Can't seem to make it step back a bit
to 800x600, or even 640x480.
Even though I won't use the GUI every day, that resolution and
color depth on the lowly 15" monitor that I can spare for it is murder on
the eyes even for short periods of time.
Before I start mucking about in the config files, I figured I'd
see what other experiences people are having with it.
Be seeing you!
