maybe you can try to repartition this drive
by hand... had the same trouble on a classic.
boot manually, with yast1. switch to the second
console, and run fdisk by hand. create a empty
sun disklabel.
reboot the box, the same way, then run fdisk
again and repart the drive again to your own
favorite partitions sizes.
this was the one and only way i got my
classic up'n running...
