forgive me for writing again but i can't get it to work with any mirrors
either.
i'm running 7.1 and under the SuSe Package Update "Online Update" i have
manual update selected, then under "expert mode" for installation choise i
have tried several mirrors but will your sourceforge as the example for IP
address: download.sourceforge.net and for Directory on the server:
/pub/mirrors/suse/suse/sparc/update/7.1/
then i select back from "expert mode" and "next" to begin the installation,
then at the next screen it has Connected to "download.sourceforge.net" as
expected, but Status of connection is "closed" however Information about
the activities reads "Starting download of patch descriptions from
download.sourceforge.net"
then information reads:
Connected
failed : File not found on server
Disconnected
and i get a error dialog about Can't get patches from server try to get them
from another server.
i've tried the paths /pub/mirrors/suse/suse/sparc/update/ ,
/pub/mirrors/suse/suse/sparc/update/7.1/patches/ as well with no luck. can
anyone point me to the correct path and/or a mirror that works properly?
thanks again

I think ftp.suse.com is under heavy load and you should try a mirror.
The descriptions for YOU are there, so it should work.
