    NO. You do not have to reinstall. Boot to the cdrom - "boot disk??:d
    yast" this will bring yast1 from there you can walk through and install
    the kernel. The important items are: Make sure that it finds the swap
    and the boot disk. Make sure that you mount all drives. Not to hard....
    Just a pain...

    I just spent the last 4 hours downloading & installing SuSE 7.1 for SPARC and now when I am done the system does not boot up! it just sits on the openboot prompt. My guess is that SILO did not get installed (aaaagh!). Being a newbie to this I am at a loss. Can someone guide me here as to what I can do to recover the system? Do I have to re-install everything (again!) or can I save some time and just install SILO.....HELP!
