Hello,
I am trying to install suse 7.1 sparc on a sun netra t1 ac200. This
netra does not support a frame buffer so I hooked a vt520 (an original
Digital Equipment dumb terminal) on the A (lom) serial port.
First strategy (trying to follow the instructions as I understood them
...)
I put the suse cd in the cdrom reader and at the ok prompt typed :
boot cdrom manual TERM=vt102(enter)
after uncompressing and booting the kernel (booting linux ...)
everything hangs properly.
Second strategy (mixing and matching commands from different
distributions ...)
boot cdrom manual console=ttyS0 TERM=vt102 (enter)
which brings me a bit further than the preceding : after uncompressing
and booting the kernel, the cursor sweep left to right and top to botom
of the screen twice and stays blocked in the left upper corner. Keyboard
and everything I can access frozen apart from the mains wire.
Thanks a lot for any suggestion on how to go further !
