    I have an Ultra5 with an 8gb IDE drive, Suse7.1 for Sparc sees it just fine.
    The only issue I think I ran into was originally I tried to dual boot with
    Solaris by partioning the drive in halves and trying to install on the
    higher partition. Suse installer wouldn't do it, so I said what the heck
    and scratched the whole drive. The install finished fine after that. Now,
    if I can only get a working 2.4.7 or higher kernel.......

    I am wondering if there is anything special I need to do to get an ultra
    5 to recognize the IDE drive I just installed?? Do I need a special type
    of ide drive or will anything work? This is the first ide sun I have
    dealt with..

    I am also wondering if it would be appropriate for me to post the sun
    equipment I have for sale??
