    Did you do an initial install, or an upgrade? I once had that problem
    when I tried to upgrade a system that had 7.1 installed on it, and
    something didn't get updated correctly.

    If you tried an upgrade, the easiest thing to do might just be backup
    your data, wipe the disk, and try again..
