hi
when i try to compile the new 2.4.1 kernel.
and " make menuconfig"
it build the lxdialog-files and then :
<preparing scripts : funktions ,parsing AWK died with errorcode 137 giving up>
in the kernel-menu there are only the options to save or load the configuration available.
awk is only a script language, isnt it ???
all software packages are updates to the version-requirements in changes and i download all the makefiles, menuconfigs, defconfig, config.in
from the cvs-directory in it newest version.
the machine is a sparcstation lx with suse 7.0. no kernel (2.2.16, 2.2.18, 2.4, 2.4.1) works. in a earlyer posting i heard, that the scripts for sparc are buggy.
where can i find a sparc-optimized kernelsourcetree or what else can i do???
thanks
stefan
