Is yast 2 a SUSE created installer. If so I (being a two year newbie)
would like to recommend a addition to the product. I would love to see an
option to setup the box automated other than the 4 options that are
currently given. I think that the 4 choices give
(mininum, default, network, everything) are too vague. I am trying to set up
(done it three times now, I am trying to learn what all these packages are
for) a simple web server for http, email, ftp. When I select network option
it goes from a 200 meg install to 1gig pretty much. Good grief, there
should be something in between. Maybe options like

    Network

     Server
       Web - HTTP
       FTP
       EMAIL
       NEWS

     Workstation
       Netscape
       StarOffice
       Xwindows (SUSE version)

I try to run tight boxes that only have what they need loaded and running.
I really don't like holes in services that I don't use. But it would take a
day or two to get all the packages and dependicies right. I know that alot
of people don't use the installers and can do it from memory but some of us
need a little help, because in the big bad world of the internet it dosen't
matter if your a guru or a newbie your machine is still an ip address out
there to be pounded away at. Does this sound like a good idea?
