Looks like there was Solaris installed before and silo was not installed
correct afterwards.
Boot from cdrom or net with
boot net noinitrd root=/dev/sda<your root device>
or
boot cdrom noinitrd root=/dev/sda<your root device>
or
boot cdrom manual
and select "boot installed system" from linuxrc. Then look at /boot/silo.conf,
fix it and call "silo".
