Yes, this is possible. You have to use the old YaST for installation.
You can boot the tftp image and do a normal installation, where the
source is the local, second disk. Or, if you can boot from this disk,
you can boot the Classic from this disk and make an installation
from disk into a directory. I use this on my Server for diskless
Client installations.
