    Dear mailing list:

I have had SUCCESS compiling Linux 2.4 on my Ultra5 (360MHz UltraSparc IIi). I
have also had success with the ATTO UL2S Ultra2 SCSI card, which is now
recognized without any flashing of new ROMs. The new kernel compiles
brilliantly with /usr/bin/sparc64-gcc set as the CC in the Makefile, and is
about 3.3 megabytes in size with my current configuration.

Thanks especially to Mike Renner, who helped me identify which kernel module I
needed to compile for the SCSI card to work.

    Sincerely,

    Sean Callanan
