Subject: Beta1 for SPARC

Hi,

There is a first Beta for SPARC for download. You can found the
ISO-image on:

ftp://ftp2.ruf.uni-freiburg.de/pub/beta/sparc/7.1/sparc-beta1.iso

There are some known bugs yet:

- YaST2 Update: silo will not be installed, run
  "chroot /mnt /sbin/silo -t" on the second console before you boot. On
  UltraSPARC, there will be also the wrong kernel installed (the 32bit
  version, not the 64bit one).

- You can configure XFree86 4.0.2 only due installation with YaST2 yet.

- If you have more then one video card, YaST2 starts in ascii mode in
the most cases.
