installation failure

Subject: installation failure

    Hello,

    I actually try to install suse linux 7.0 on a sparc station 5, via
    cdrom.

    My problem is that i have never been able to finish the install :
    installation process crashes when installing
    rpms. (in the first place, bash and then lvm, and after the program
    exits).
    I assume i have no problem with the image of the cdrom : (id code is
    OK), and i burnt it on 2 different cdwriters...

    I don't know what to do, has anyone already experienced this problem ?
    Is there a known fix ?
