Hi,
Does anyone know the boot parameters for the Sun Lance ethernet adapter.
It seems to be a built-in module in the kernel, since it does not appear
in /lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/net
I have a Sparc4, about 7 years old. The built-in ethernet has
connections for 10base5 (thick coax) and 10baseT (RJ-45). It was
previously working fine on a 10base2 (thin coax) network with a
base5-base2 media converter. When the box had Solaris installed, I
also tested the RJ-45 connector with a base5-baseT media converter, and
it worked.
Now it is installed on a 10/100T network, and ifconfig says that eth0 is
up and configured, but it won't ping. I am suspecting that there might
be a default that has it connected through the 10base5 connector, with
the RJ-45 disabled. I know that some dual media ethernet adapters for
PCs are like that under Linux, you have to specify which connector to
use when the module loads.
Any ideas?
