Subject: [suse-sparc] Kernel 2.4.x performance on Sparc32

    Hi,

    I have read that the 2.4.x kernels have not been performing well on
    Sparc32 systems. I have SuSE 7.1 installed on a Sparc32 system with the
    stock 2.4.2 kernel, and it works, but not fast. Does anyone recommend
    using a 2.2.x kernel instead?
