You can ignore them. glibc tries at first the new system calls.
If they are not available, glibc uses the old one. Because only
SPARC prints this messages, you does not see them on other architectures.

I know this problem, I also have this on my SS10 with kernel 2.2.18 and 2.2.19 ...
I always try to avoid other disk and network activity due burning CDs and this
seems to help.

You can get all 2.2.xx kernels for sparc32 (2.2.18, 2.2.19, 2.2.20preX).
But I have no problems with my LX and the SS5's here.
